Hey y’all!
I’m Jess. Kentucky born, raised, and still calling it home.
I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 21 years (together for 28!), and we’re raising a sharp, funny 14-year-old son who keeps life interesting. We also share our home with Tate, our 10-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix and certified queen of the household.
My roots run deep through Kentucky and West Virginia, grounded in the stories, values, and resilience of my Appalachian family. That heritage shows up in everything I do, from how I show up for my people to how I tell a story or fix a plate.
I’m a lifelong dancer (Irish dance is my jam), a tech communicator by day, and a freelance photographer by weekend, capturing real moments for real people. Whether it’s a family session in a golden Kentucky field or an event that deserves remembering, I love finding the beauty in everyday light.
I’m also proudly neuro-spicy, diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, which has helped me better understand how my brain works and why I’ve always colored outside the lines.
I’m passionate about making tech accessible, especially for women and communities who’ve been left out of the conversation. I believe in progress, equity, and the power of helping others find their voice.
Also worth knowing? I’m a proud Democrat, a supporter of strong women, and someone who believes that kindness and accountability can absolutely live in the same sentence.
This is my space to share real life — the chaos, the wins, the tech, the dance, the art, and the southern sass — all wrapped up in the wild ride that is being Jess in KY.
